Tsum Valley, known as 'Beyul Kyimolung' (the sacred hidden valley of happiness), is one of the most culturally secluded regions in the Himalayas. Opened to trekkers only in 2008, the valley practices 'Ahimsa' (complete non-violence) where hunting and slaughtering animals is strictly prohibited. Trek through dense pine and rhododendron gorges into ancient stone villages, visiting centuries-old monasteries like Rachen Gompa, Mu Gompa (3,700m), and the historic meditation cave of saint Milarepa.
