Phulchowki (Hill of Flowers) is the highest peak surrounding the Kathmandu Valley at 2,782 meters. Starting from the National Botanical Gardens at Godavari, this peaceful forest hike winds through dense subtropical cloud forests dense with wild orchids, ferns, blooming rhododendrons, and over 250 species of birds. The summit features a Buddhist/Hindu shrine and a transmission tower, offering unobstructed panoramas from Annapurna to Everest.

7:30 AM drive from Kathmandu to Godavari (45 mins). Tour the National Botanical Garden. Begin ascent through dense mossy oak and rhododendron forest. Reach Phulchowki summit (2,782m) around 12:30 PM for picnic lunch and 360-degree mountain views. Descend through forest trails back to Godavari by 4:00 PM and drive to Kathmandu.
