Hidden in the rugged trans-Himalayan rain-shadow between the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges, Nar and Phu were only opened to trekkers in 2002. Preserved for centuries by sheer geography, these medieval stone villages are populated by ethnic Tibetan Buddhists living virtually unchanged pastoral lives. The trek features dramatic narrow canyons, ancient monasteries such as Tashi Lhakhang, yak caravans, and a magnificent crossing of Kang La Pass (5,320m) with sweeping views of the entire Annapurna range.
A fully guided 16-day expedition requiring a special government Restricted Area Permit (RAP). Our local guides ensure cultural respect, top-tier safety, and smooth logistics from Kathmandu.
