Kori Danda is one of Nepal's newest and most pristine off-the-beaten-path wilderness routes. Located northeast of Pokhara beyond the Gurung cultural village of Sikles, this ridge trek leads across alpine sheep pastures and ancient oak forests to the high grassy plateau of Kori (3,800m). From the crest, gaze directly at the colossal southern walls of Lamjung Himal (6,988m), Annapurna II (7,937m), and the sacred glacial lake of Dudh Pokhari.
A 7-day wilderness trek combining Gurung culture in Sikles with peaceful high-alpine pastures, supported by local guides and porters.
Detailed daily trekking distances, walking hours & stays
Drive by rugged 4WD mountain jeep through Madi river valley to Sikles, one of Nepal's largest traditional Gurung villages.
