The Kali Gandaki Valley Trek explores the extraordinary geological fault where the Kali Gandaki River carves a gorge over 5,500 meters deep between Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna I (8,091m). This historic trade route between Nepal and Tibet features dramatic transitions from lush bamboo valleys and thermal hot springs in Tatopani to the arid trans-Himalayan plateau of Mustang, Thakali whitewashed villages of Marpha, and holy Muktinath.
An 11-day cultural and scenic pilgrimage covering Tatopani, Ghasa, Kalopani, Marpha, Kagbeni, and Muktinath, with flight/drive connection back to Pokhara.
Detailed daily trekking distances, walking hours & stays
