If you have just one day to experience the majesty of the Himalayas from Pokhara, the Australian Camp Day Hike is the perfect adventure. Starting from Kande, a gentle two-hour forest hike brings you to the grassy knoll of Australian Camp (2,060m). Enjoy lunch gazing face-to-face at the towering snow walls of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South, before descending through the stone-paved Gurung village of Dhampus.

8:00 AM hotel pickup in Pokhara. Drive 45 minutes to Kande (1,770m). Hike uphill through shaded rhododendron woods for 1.5 to 2 hours to Australian Camp (2,060m). Relax and savor lunch gazing at Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South. Afternoon descent through the scenic Gurung village of Dhampus to Phedi. Meet private vehicle and return to Pokhara by 4:30 PM.

Our itineraries are crafted with gradual ascent profiles to minimize Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Certified Sherpa guides carry fingertip pulse oximeters, medical first aid kits, and portable emergency oxygen at all times.
We manage and include all National Park, Conservation Area (ACAP/Sagarmatha), TIMS, and Restricted Area Permits on your behalf. Simply provide copies of your passport and 2 passport photos upon arrival in Kathmandu.
